Ex-tend
The MCC missions program is called EX-tend. It supports local, national and international missions. In June each year, we have our EX-tend missions conference where people learn about what missions work we are supporting and pledge money to the missions supported by MCC. God has truly done miracles in the realm of giving and we have become a generous group of people. We are encouraged that the world of a generous person gets larger and larger.
Ex-tend currently supports church planting and evangelism programs in India, Guinea and Liberia. It also supports an orphanage in Sumatra, the provision of training in evangelism, helps farming communities in the WA wheat belt, encourages Aboriginal people in regional areas, and helps run (with the support of the City of Melville) games nights for local school children.
When possible, opportunity is given to teams of people to participate in short term missions trips to India, Indonesia, the wheat belt or to an Aboriginal community.
Our EX-tend conference for 2010/11 occurred on Sat/Sun 26/27 June. Pledges to date total $67,000, which is a truly miraculous record. You can download the EX-tend 2010 Handbook (1MB) to find out what we are supporting.
